Boy! Oh Boy! It is tough out there! It is hard to run a business in this economy! Sound familiar?
What if I told you the opposite? You don't have to take my word for it, financial talk show host, Dave Ramsey agrees.
Why? You may have noticed that during times like these a Darwinian effect takes place. There is a thinning of the herd. Those that do not run the business well or have no idea of the concept of customer service, who insists on cheap materials and poor workmanship closing their doors.
In fact, Dave Ramsey says this is a great time to start a business. When it first started, the “World Wide Web” was an enigma. People weren't sure what to make of it and businesses wondered how it can make me money”
Now, with the help of Smart Phones and Computers and social networks like “Facebook” and “Twitter” and Business Networks like “Merchant Circle” and “Linked In “you are able to reach more people than ever before, the best part is it is free. So you can keep your costs down and bids competitive.
But it is a double edged sword. In fact the need for customer service is more critical whether or not you are “hooked –up” to the net. Because others are, “hooked-up”, they can reach out to hundreds of people as well. So we want as many good customers on the net as possible.
Sure more customers are shopping price. But when they let go of that money, they want to make sure it is money well spent. When it comes right down to it, the best value is always going to be good old customer service.
