Sometimes the best projects start with a simple referral—but the real magic happens when trust and craftsmanship come together.
The Project
In the Building Trades Network, projects often begin with a simple introduction—but the best ones are built on something deeper: trust between members and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
This recent stucco transformation by #BTNMember Corey Webber of Premier Plastering is a perfect example of how collaboration within BTN leads to outstanding results—not just for homeowners, but for the professionals involved.
A Referral That Carried Real Weight
The project started with a referral from BTN Member Chad Compton, general contractor with Build With DEFI. Chad connected Corey with his neighbor, a close family friend of many years, who was interested in updating the exterior of his 1960s home.
The original goal was straightforward:
remove the dated wood siding on the front of the home and replace it with a smooth stucco finish.
Corey scheduled an initial consultation, walked the property with the homeowner, and together they developed a practical plan. To help manage costs, the homeowner would handle the demolition and insulation of the front wall, while Premier Plastering would come in to complete the stucco work.
But as the project progressed and the condition of the home’s existing stucco became clear, the scope expanded.
Seeing the Bigger Opportunity
During inspection, Corey discovered several areas where the original stucco was failing. Rather than simply addressing the front of the home, the team evaluated the entire exterior.
The decision was made to move forward with a full-home stucco refresh, repairing damaged areas and creating a seamless, smooth finish across the property.
The result completely transformed the look and feel of the house—taking it from a dated 1960s exterior to a clean, modern finish that will last for decades.
A Job Built on Accountability
This project carried a unique level of responsibility.
Because the referral came from Chad—someone Corey had built a professional relationship with through BTN—the stakes were higher than usual. Not only was the homeowner Chad’s neighbor, but also a close family friend of his for decades.
If things didn’t go well, it wouldn’t just affect the project. It could affect long-standing relationships.

That kind of scenario can create pressure—but it also creates opportunity.
It’s the kind of opportunity that defines what BTN is about: members trusting each other to deliver excellent work, even when they’re not there to oversee every step of the process.
This was also the first major project Corey had completed with Chad Compton, making it a meaningful milestone in their collaboration.
Delivering on the Trust
Corey approached the project with the mindset that every detail mattered—not just because of the work itself, but because of the trust behind it.
From careful inspection and repair work to the final smooth stucco finish, Premier Plastering delivered a transformation that exceeded expectations.
And the homeowner noticed.
What the Client Had to Say
The homeowner, Olivia, shared this five-star review after the project was completed:
“We hired Premier Plastering for smooth stucco on our house, and we could not be happier with the results. The quality of the work is absolutely top-notch—clean, smooth, and beautifully done.
Corey is truly a standout. His dedication, enthusiasm, and positive attitude made the entire process a pleasure. What really set him apart, though, was how generous he was with his knowledge. He took the time to explain each stage of the process, answered all of our questions, and never once tried to gatekeep information.
As homeowners deep in a full interior and exterior renovation, we really appreciated being educated rather than brushed off.
Bonus points for hands-down the best quote format we’ve seen from any contractor. Pricing was broken down clearly and in detail, which was incredibly refreshing after reviewing a lot of quotes during our renovation.
If you’re looking for exceptional craftsmanship, transparency, and someone who genuinely cares about their work and their clients with very fair pricing, Premier Plastering (and Corey!) is the real deal. Highly recommend.”
The Heart of BTN
This project represents something bigger than stucco.
It’s about members trusting each other’s expertise, knowing that when a referral is made within BTN, the expectation is clear: deliver your best work and stand behind it.
That trust is what allows collaborations like this to thrive—and it’s what makes the Building Trades Network such a powerful community of professionals.
Because at the end of the day, great work builds great relationships, and those relationships build stronger communities.
And thanks to Corey Webber and Premier Plastering, this home now has an exterior finish that will stand the test of time.
