Community In Action

At Building Trades Network (BTN), we believe success isn’t just measured by what we build—it’s also about how we lift others up along the way. That’s why every year, we dedicate time, tools, and heart to our Annual Giveback Community Project. This year, we returned to Mercy House, an organization doing vital work to end homelessness and provide stable housing solutions for individuals and families in need.

Mercy House is more than just a shelter—it’s a place of hope. Their mission is to provide comprehensive, supportive services for homeless families and individuals, with a focus on dignity, empowerment, and long-term solutions. As a BTN community, we’re proud to align our skills with their powerful mission.

During our BTN Serve Day, our members got to work on projects that directly impacted the comfort and safety of the residents. The majority of the crew focused on reinforcing the bathroom’s flooring structure and replacing rotted siding, ensuring these critical living spaces are safe and secure. Meanwhile, others turned their attention outdoors—trimming trees and cleaning up the grounds to create a more welcoming environment for the families who call Mercy House home.

This project wasn’t just about repairs—it was about respect. Creating a dignified living space for those in vulnerable situations is a way of saying you matter.

“I feel incredibly fortunate in my own life, and being able to serve others—especially in our own community—is something I value deeply,” shared one of our BTN members. “Serving alongside such a dedicated team was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we work together with purpose and heart.”
